Posting Page FAQ
Q. What does the Posting Page do?
A. Use this page to indicate how spots ran. To mark a spot as aired, in the Aired column, press the "Yes" radio button. To mark a spot as not aired, press the "No" radio button. The aired time can be edited by typing an air time in the air time field. Press the "Submit Posts" button when activated to save (post) the entered information.
Q. Why is the Air Date grayed out for some spots?
A. If a vehicle is set to allow makegoods, then the Air Date field is grayed out. To change the air date for a spot when this is the case, first mark the spot as not aired by setting the "Aired" field to "No", press the Submit Posts button, and then create a makegood for it. Depending on system settings, spots in the future from today's date may also be grayed out.
Q. What is a makegood?
A. A makegood is a spot that did not air as originally intended and was aired at a different date and/or time. To create a makegood, mark a spot as not aired, press the Submit Posts button, click the "assign makegoods" button, and enter the new date and time for the spot to air and then press the Process button.
Q. Where can I see the makegood policy rules?
A. From the Missed/Makegood Spot Management popup, you can press the "Makegood Policy" button to see the makegood policy rules. When creating a makegood, the system automatically checks the makegood date, time, and copy against the rules and shows a warning message in the upper right corner of the page if there is a violation. To successfully create a makegood, it must meet the makegood policy requirements.
Q. Some of the spots have a blank value for the Air Time. Why?
A. Spots from an ROS (run of schedule) pledge may have a blank value for the Air Time field when viewed on the Posting page. For these spots, the air time must either be entered manually or automatically updated by a log/audio service.
Q. Why is the "Submit Posts" button sometimes grayed out?
A. The "Submit Posts" button is only active when there are changes that have been made that need to be saved.
Q. How do I change copy for a spot?
A. On the Posting page, click the dropdown in the ISCI column and either select a new ISCI code or add a new one by using the "New ISCI" option.
Q. I see spots on the Posting page, but I'm not able to edit any of them. Why?
A. When an Affidavit has been fully posted and is in the past, there is a process that runs that imports the airing information back to the network. After the airing information has been imported in this way, the spots for that week and vehicle become grayed out and are no longer available for editing. Depending on system settings, spots in the future from today's date may also be grayed out.
Q. Sometimes there is an "AP" column on the Posting page, and sometimes there isn't one. Why?
A. The "AP" column is for spots that have been auto-updated by a log/audio service. If there are no spots that have been auto-updated, then the "AP" column is not shown.
Q. There are auto-posted spots but I can't edit them. Why?
A. Depending on the settings configured by the network, some auto-posted spots cannot be edited.
Q. I see spots that were auto-updated by a log/audio delivery service, but they are not posted. Why?
A. Depending on the settings configured by the network, spots updated by some log/audio services will have their air dates and times automatically updated, but they will not be marked as posted. To complete the posting process for these spots, review the posting information on the Posting page and press the Submit Posts button.
Q. What is the "C" column for?
A. The "C" column is for copy comments and can include special copy instructions from the network about that spot's copy. To view the comment, either hold the mouse over the speech bubble icon in the "C" column, or mouse click on the speech bubble icon.
Q. How can I tell if a station is part of a multicast group for a vehicle?
A. A message will pop up the first time a user accesses a multicast station group during a session. These multicast stations remain available for viewing or comparison via a dropdown near the top right of the Posting Page when applicable.
